What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a type of Pilates exercise that utilizes a specialized machine called the reformer. This machine consists of a sliding carriage, springs for resistance, pulleys, and adjustable bars to provide a dynamic and full-body workout. Unlike mat Pilates, which primarily uses body weight for resistance, the reformer allows for greater variety, increased resistance, and deeper muscle engagement.

Benefits of Reformer Pilates:

  • Improves Strength & Flexibility – The resistance from springs challenges muscles while promoting controlled, lengthened movements.
  • Enhances Core Stability – Engages deep core muscles for better posture and balance.
  • Low Impact & Joint-Friendly – Ideal for rehabilitation and injury prevention.
  • Increases Coordination & Control – Encourages precise, controlled movements.
  • Customizable for All Levels – The adjustable resistance makes it suitable for beginners to advanced practitioners.

If you’re new to Reformer Pilates, here are some key things you should know before starting:

  • Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene.
